Okanagan Money Academy takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This page describes which personal information we handle on growthpixo.com, for which purposes and which rights PIPEDA and provincial privacy law give you. It applies to everyone who visits the website and to people who contact us by email or through the contact form.
Who is responsible
Okanagan Money Academy, established at 1632 Water Street, Suite 210, Kelowna, BC V1Y 1J7, Canada, is responsible for the processing of personal data on growthpixo.com. For questions about data protection, write to hello@growthpixo.com or call (250) 763-4180. The notice covers this website as a whole, including the messages that reach us through it.
Security of processing
Suitable technical and organizational measures guard the information we hold against unauthorized access, alteration and accidental loss. Where the browser allows it, what you send through the site travels in encrypted form.
No transfer of data over the internet can be made entirely safe, so a residual risk remains. Inside Okanagan Money Academy, messages are read only by the people who deal with them.
Cookies and browser storage
This website uses only technically necessary storage. We do not set advertising cookies, and no analytics service records how you move through our pages or links your visit to other websites.
You can see which entries this website has stored, delete them and refuse new ones at any time in the settings of your browser. Blocking storage that the pages need may mean that parts of the site no longer work.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask for it to be corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete. You may withdraw your consent to its use at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.
A message to hello@growthpixo.com or a letter to our postal address is enough to use any of these rights. To make sure that information reaches the right person, we may ask you to confirm who you are, and we reply within the period the law sets.
Besides contacting us, you have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the privacy commissioner of your province where provincial law applies.
Data we collect
Visiting the website creates server log entries: IP address, time of access, requested file, transferred data volume, browser and operating system. We use these entries only to operate the site safely, to keep it available and to investigate technical errors.
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we store your name, your email address, any telephone number you choose to give and the content of your message, in order to deal with your request.
Purposes and consent
We process data to make the website available, to answer inquiries, to prepare or perform contracts, to keep our business records in order and to protect the site against misuse and technical faults.
Your consent is the basis of what we do with personal information: it may be express, or implied when you send us a message and expect an answer. We use information for a new purpose only after asking you, except where the law allows or requires it. Providing information is voluntary, but an inquiry without contact details cannot be answered.
Third parties and transfers
We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with the providers who host this website and handle our email, acting on our instructions under a written contract, and with authorities where the law obliges us.
Data may be handled by a provider whose servers or support staff are located abroad. We choose providers who commit to protecting it at the level the applicable rules demand for transfers of this kind.
Retention
Data is stored for the period the purpose requires. Once the purpose no longer applies and no legal duty stands in the way, we delete the data or keep it in a form that no longer identifies anyone.
Technical log entries are deleted automatically after a short time. Inquiries and the correspondence that follows are kept while they may still be needed, and documents covered by tax or commercial law for the statutory period.
Updates
We revise this notice whenever the way we handle data changes. The current wording is always published here, and the date at the top tells you when it was last updated.
Changes are not announced one by one, so it is worth looking at this page from time to time. If a change affects processing that rests on your consent, we ask for that consent again first.
